Two Nosebleed Stakes titles deliver $241,630 as eight high-stakes events remain.
SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / September 22, 2026 / A single player controlled the opening day of Americas Cardroom's Second Mortgage Week, as BBR$999 won both Monday tournaments and collected $241,630.
The back-to-back results began in the $10,300 NLH 8-Max. BBR$999 topped a field of 55 entries to claim the $154,000 first prize from a $550,000 prize pool.
Americas Cardroom CEO Phil Nagy, playing under the screen name Justsomefish72, finished runner-up for $110,000. LeijkieHond placed third for $88,000. Americas Cardroom Pros Chris Moneymaker, playing under his own name, and Alex Foxen, playing as OutFoxenYou, were also in the field but did not reach the paid places.
BBR$999 returned to win the $5,200 NLH 8-Max for another $87,630. The second tournament attracted 69 entries and built a $345,000 prize pool. Halongbeee earned $65,550 in second place, with Chamois999 receiving $51,750 for third.
The two tournaments produced $895,000 in combined prize pools. BBR$999 took more than one-quarter of that total.
Second Mortgage Week continues with eight Nosebleed Stakes tournaments through Monday, September 28. Remaining buy-ins range from $5,200 to $25,500. Two Pot-Limit Omaha events are scheduled Wednesday, followed by a pair of No-Limit Hold'em tournaments Thursday.
Sunday, September 27, carries the largest buy-in on the schedule: a $25,500 NLH 8-Max. A $5,200 NLH tournament also runs Sunday before the promotion closes Monday with $15,400 and $5,200 events.
Second Mortgage Week is part of the $50 Million GTD OSS XL, which ends September 29. Sunday's series schedule includes Day 1B of the $2.5 million guaranteed $2,650 OSS XL Main Event and the $2 million guaranteed $1,050 Main Event. The $500,000 guaranteed $66 Main Event also returns for Day 2.
